I love words and the energy they have. If you look at words as building blocks, you can see how the meaning of a text changes as you change the meaning of the words and the way you arrange them in sentences. There is power in words.
That is why I like translating. The magic is in translating the words, while keeping the emotion of the original. Although I translate all kinds of texts, except legal and medical documents, I prefer to translate for websites or books.
Ik houd van woorden en hun energie. Als je naar woorden kijkt als bouwstenen kun je zien hoe de betekenis van een tekst verandert als je de woordbetekenis verandert of de woordvolgorde in een zin. Woorden hebben macht.
Daarom houd ik van vertalen. De magie zit hem in het vertalen van de woorden, terwijl je de emotie van het origineel handhaaft. Hoewel ik allerlei teksten vertaal, behalve juridische en medische documenten, vertaal ik het liefst voor website of boeken.

Author review: Sem is a very non-professional translator. She demanded for a book about 2,000 words two months in order to complete the translation. After these two months, she didn't deliver the translation. After a week of the overdue time, we wrote to her asking if there was any problem. She didn't anwser. Another week passed, we wrote to her again and again she didn't answer! Warning: don't accept any translations from her! |
