I will care as much as you do

I was born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal and, according to my mother, have spoken English since the age of five.

I have since completed a Bachelor's Degree in Translation with a minor in Linguistics, specializing in translating to and from English, Spanish and European Portuguese. I am preparing to take my Master's Degree, during which I plan to collect information on the translation needs of docents and students and, based on the existing gaps, translate sample chapters to present to publishers in order to improve conditions in the educational system and to establish myself as a freelance translator.

While that happens I have had professional experience as a translator, first as a freelancer for a dubbing studio, translating National Geographic documentaries, and more recently translating websites.

Since a young age, I have also nurtured a love for writing and so I understand how each author's book or text can be like a child to them, a part or reflexion of themselves. Because of that I am very careful to treat the text with the utmost respect, trying to convey the most approximate message possible while respecting both the author and the recieving reader.

I am approachable and available (sometimes even eager) to discuss the translation process if needed as I believe this exchange is profitable for all parties.
