Robin Elizabeth Kobayashi (author)

I write historical fiction blended with magical realism.

I write about love and the eccentricities of life in a historical context. I take delight in the sublime and the ridiculous, the extraordinary and the everyday, the magical and the mystical, and the wisdom that can be extracted from it all.

My work of historical fiction -- I, Sofia-Elisabete, Love Child of Colonel Fitzwilliam: A Perfect World in the Moon -- about a five-year-old girl searching for Utopia was named to Kirkus Reviews' Best Indie Books of 2018.

My young adult novella, Twelfth-Night Cake & the Rosings Ghost, was named a finalist in The Wishing Shelf Book Awards 2018 for Indie writers.

During the day, I work as a senior legal writer and editor for LexisNexis.
