I studied Translation and Foreign Languages for different years at the university. I got my MA in Translation (scientific translation, English > Italian, German > Italian) in 2011 and I completed a PhD in Theory and Practice of Translation, English > Italian; my dissertation focused on Bernard Shaw and his insights on language and translation. I also had the opportunity to make an internship at the Directorate General for Translation of the European Commission in Brussels, in 2012. I lived in Germany and Austria and I had the chance to meet a lot of mother tongue speakers (of German, English and Spanish, the three foreign languages that I speak).
I love languages (conlangs and dead languages are also included)! I am very keen on learning more and more about the foreign languages I speak and about foreign languages in general. I always try to learn words, sentences and so on in languages that I am not familiar with. I love travelling and discovering new places, with all their peculiarities.
My favourite domains are science fiction, botanics and cosmetics, cooking, animals (especially dogs), which also reflect my areas of interest.
