I am 24 year old and I attended a high school specialized in Foreign Languages, where I studied English as first language and German as second one. I graduated with honors in Foreign Languages and Literatures with a thesis on the Italian translation of the Harry Potter books, analyzing techniques and translation choices.
During the course of my studies, I attended seminars on Specialized Translation and Literary Translation.
Moreover, I passed the FCE exams with the highest grade, which demonstrates an ability at Council of Europe Level C1.
In addition, I really love reading and among my favorite readings there are fantasy and dystopian books. I also love writing, I have a blog where I publish my short novels and I sometimes participate in writing contexts. I think that these two activities are quite relevant, because I am convinced that a good translator has to be a good reader and writer. I consider my proficiency in my mother tongue, Italian, excellent.
