I've recently self-published my debut novel, The Pannell Witch, and sold over 1,000 copies in the first two months.
The book is based on the true story of Mary Pannell, arrested for witchcraft in 1593 Yorkshire, England. It follows her journey to escape the gallows along with her two adult daughters and the woman she loves.

Being from the local area where this book is based made it of particular interest to me, the fact that the whole story is about the local legend/myth/hauntings (call it what you will) about Mary Pannell the witch that is said to haunt is amazing. The book is written really well and provides a great read, Melissa's research and representation of the local area are spot on. Defo worth a read
