Hi, my name is Maria Laura – but please, call me Laura! I'm a passionate translator on a mission to break down language barriers and connect the world through words. As a lover of languages and cultures, I have delved into the enchanting art of translation, where every sentence is a puzzle waiting to be solved.
I was educated at the Università per Stranieri di Siena, where I got my Bacherlor’s Degree in Linguistic and Cultural Mediation. I majored in Russian and English and I graduated with the highest marks. I was also selected to the Erasmus+ project, and I was given the opportunity to spend a semester at Durham University, United Kingdom.
After my graduation, I decided to take a gap year and moved to France to reacquire the French language.
Then, I enrolled in Trinity College Dublin for a Master’s Degree in Literary Translation. I choose English, French and Italian for my languages. I am currently enrolled in the programme because I choose a part-time option. My priority was, and still is, practising translation and gaining as much experience in this field, as I can.
In fact, whether it's business documents, literary works, or marketing materials, I relish the opportunity to play a pivotal role in bridging communication gaps and helping clients reach their global audience. My journey as a translator has just begun, but my enthusiasm and eagerness to learn are boundless.
I believe that language is the heart of human connection, and I can't wait to embark on new projects, unlocking new realms of understanding through the magic of translation. Let's collaborate and embark on a linguistic adventure together!
