Hi, I'm Marcos.

Marcos duleba

I was born in Wilde, a city at the south of the City of Buenos Aires. My mom is Peruvian and my father is Argentinian. In my mother's house I could hear all the time Spanish dialects, English and French, because most of her family made studies in Canada and in the US. My father's family was more from East Europe (my last name is from Hungary), and they speak Ukrainian and Czech. But, as a conservative Catholic family, I was also taught Latin for and in the Church. With that family, of course that languages were going to be an important part of my life. Some even helped with the creation of writing systems for indigenous tribes, while they were working as missionaries in Brazil. In my house, there were special rooms for foreign students, overall from Denmark. When I had 8 years old, I could speak Spanish, English and Italian quite fluently. My studies in French and German started when I was 12 and I was in middle school. Like I was the only guy who could translate books about Alouette Helicopters and Volskwagen Motors, that became my work over all middle school and high school. Then, after graduation, I started to study more deeply all the languages that I could speak by that time. And I became an interpreter for foreign students in Buenos Aires, overall from France. And also, I started to translate Theology books for my Church, as also books about Practical Apologetics. Nowadays, in the Uni, I'm the leader of a study group (I study Pure Maths), and one of the most important tasks that I have is the translations from German or English to Spanish, because most of Math books in Argentina stores are in Mexican Spanish, and most of people don't get them, at the point of prefering to read the books in their original lanaguages. I'm studying advanced Norwegian and Portuguese. All the books that I read are in English, in fact, I prefer studying languages from English. My best friend is an Asturian descendant, and we speak Asturian to each other. I speak English with my mother (she now lives in the US), German with my father, French with my friends and Portuguese with some other friends. I belong to.
