Ciao! Piacere, sono Maddie.
I am a diligent, curious person with a great passion for etymology, languages and learning. I studied translation whilst at university, after which I won work with Italian museums, British university journals and advertising firms. I currently teach Italian at UCLan university.
I am passionate about fiction and participate in numerous translated book clubs both online and in my native North-West England. I think fiction has the power to transform perspectives and as such I'm particularly interested in working on projects that highlight the experiences of women and the LGBTQIA community.
Translating from Italian into English marries together my greatest strengths and keenest interests in a way which both challenges and fulfils me, and I would truly relish the opportunity to work with authors on this site to bring their work to an English audience.
