I started translating in 2018, while still in college, and since then I've worked on academic articles, fiction books, and even tried my foot in the games market. Literature is my favorite field to work, as I'm an avid reader myself, and I'm here to add more experience to my portfolio and brain.
Translating books is an exercise of creativity and sensibility. A great translator of literature needs to be awesome at the source language and excellent at the target language to provide a text that carries the same power and essence of the original to the final reader. I keep this rule in mind when translating and always respect the author's style and choices. But as a reader myself, inserted in the world of books since childhood, I also know what works and what doesn't for the Brazilian public, and can offer you suggestions and insights.
I translate from English(C1) to Brazilian Portuguese(native) and vice-versa, but also have knowledge of Spanish that could come in handy.
