I'm an enthusiast of the written word and I'm currently studying to become a literary translator.
I am brazilian and my native language is portuguese. However, I went to an international school in Brazil where I learned english from a very young age, becoming bilingual. English and Portuguese were my favourite subjects in school and I took it to the next level when I decided to get my major in Journalism and then specialized in Interpretation of the English Language. Majoring in Journalism gave me an excellent command of my native language and allowed me to acquire a writing style, while my specialization in English provided me the tools to become a better translator.
I have over 5 years of experience as a freelance translator mainly translating documentaries and corporate videos, but now I'm following my passion and dedicating myself to becoming a literary translator. I've initiated my studies at Casa Guilherme de Almeida, Brazil's most prestigious institution regarding literary translations.
