A passionate, Italian, language learning, words believer, grammar nerd individual. Multicultural environments are my setting. Language is what matters to cross the world barriers.

I am an Italian professional, living and working in the United Kingdom, where I specialize in the front office and customer service areas of the travel industry. Working in multilingual environments, I utilize my language skills to offer service to the essential Italian, British, and Spanish European markets. I am currently employed as a reservation agent, for a big airline where I respond to Italian, Spanish, and Latin American clients and partners who make requests from all over the world by presenting products and offering solutions.

Growing up in a small village in the middle of the countryside, I desired to escape and follow a path that would allow me to interact in a multicultural environment. Languages are a way to get closer to one another, to find similarities in the differences, and so, after being a successful student of French and English in high school, I embraced a university path in foreign literature and linguistics.

I formed strong language skills by focusing, learning, and becoming fluent in Spanish, and by deepening my knowledge of English.

I developed my career working for international businesses, mainly in the travel sector, through roles in the cruise and airline industries, simultaneously progressing with my language skills. A two-year opportunity as a translator for a major cruise line and some freelance opportunities, oriented me in the use of language, not exclusively as a verbal communicator to cross cultures, but as an important written means to convey messages from one language to another, making sure that nothing gets lost in translation.

I am enthusiastic about the opportunity of a translation based career by participating in a university course in applied linguistics and by becoming an affiliate member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists, through which I did two translation preparatory courses to pass the exam and obtain the Certified Diploma in Translation. Foreign languages remain my passion even outside of work and in my free time. I participated in a German course obtaining an A1 level certificate at the Göethe Institut and I am enjoying Portuguese learning with Duolingo App.
