I am an Italian native speaker with a Bechelor's Degree in Linguistic and Cultural Mediation and a Master's Degree in Foreign Languages for Intenational Relations. During my studies I had the opportunity to analyze different translation methods from English and Spanish into Italian and viceversa and I got in touch with different kinds of texts by using multilingual and monolingual electronic corpora. Moreover, I examined sociocultural and linguistic differences and common features between English / Spanish and Italian corpora. In particular, the pupose of my Bechelor's thesis was to present, through the use of the software AntConc, a comparative analysis of original tourist texts which promote British and Italian holiday accomodation. In my investigation I highlighted that making the right linguistic choices is fundamental in order to promote a given type of accomodation effectively.
Thanks to my experiences abroad, I had the opportunity to develop my linguistic skills which helped me to improve my translation works from a technical point of view.
I have a great passion for translating and interpreting and I am looking forward to starting this new adventure!
