I am a Venezuelan translator, I was born in a small town in the south of the Venezuelan Andes, I lived there during my childhood and when I was a teenager I went to a military high school. After that, I applied to the University of Los Andes to study Modern Languages. Then I studied there and after 5 years I got a Bachelor’s Degree in Modern Languages.
My professional option is translation. Additionally, I have worked in the domain of technical translation in the last three years, hence, I have developed excellent skills in areas such as pharmacology, medicine and pharmaceutical marketing not to mention that I have translated a relevant quantity of business letters related to the importation of tobacco leaves, stems and dust. It cannot be overemphasized that I have made reverse translation of short stories.
Serving as a translator for a variety of translation projects has provided me meticulous and reliable skills where the use of adequate terminology is of paramount importance as the application of solid documentation techniques to ensure seamless styles, context and overall meaning in target texts. In addition the variety of topics I have worked in could be a certification of my adaptability and capacity to deal with translation projects belonging to different domains of knowledge.
