Dinorah Peña-Durán has a degree in Communication Sciences from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara, with a specialization in Psychology and Pedagogy. She has been living in the United States for three decades and in the professional field has worked in television and radio stations, record labels, magazines and artist management companies.

Almost ten years ago, in a career twist, she returned to the classroom to become a certified Spanish teacher (Pre-K-12th grade). She is currently the lead translator for one of the best school districts in the country, Irving ISD, in Irving, Texas, a thriving city located between Dallas and Fort Worth. She combines her main job as a translator with her freelance work as a translator, proofreader, content writer and audiobook narrator/producer, currently with 30 audiobooks in her portfolio.

Her hobbies include cooking, taking road trips with her sons and learning languages [she is currently learning Korean, and continuing her studies in French, Italian and Portuguese], in addition to her native language, Spanish, and, of course, English.

Dinorah shares her life with her two sons, Ian and André; the older son, who is a junior studying electrical and computer engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, and the younger son, who is currently a sophomore in high school. As a single mother, her children are her main driving force and motivation in everything she does.
