Derek trueman

Derek is British, married to a Singaporean teacher, and taught in UK, NZ and Singapore. Environment is his passion: writing is a hobby. He is a published poet in magazines and a celebration anthology, and his first novel ‘Terra Rossa’ is just released. Previously, with the SEC he created Singapore’s first Green Map, devised the Green Schools project and helped start the Green Volunteers Network. He won the Green Volunteer Award in 1999 and featured in Channel 5’s “Go Green” and call-in shows. Today he is ‘actively semi-retired’ and does a lot of church work.

He and his family fell in love with the people, lifestyle and environment of Puglia, Italy after buying a house in 2006. Many happy vacations were spent there and this book is a way of thanking Puglia.
