Since very young, languages have fascinated me. The way you can express different thoughts and how they differ from culture to culture, and from language to language has become a life-long passion.
I've had the opportunity of growing up in a multi-language / multi-culture region of the world where the average person speaks at least 4 languages (English, Spanish, Dutch and Papiamentu). This fact broadened my enthusiasm and experience understanding how words or sentences can have different meanings according to a person's cultural background, which in turn has enabled me to go a step further from a literal translation.
