Augusto dala costa

A graduate from a joint Master’s degree in Central and East European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies (CEERES) with the University of Glasgow, Ilia State University (Tbilisi, Georgia) and University of Tartu (Tartu, Estonia). With such a degree, I accumulated experience from studying and living abroad, in multiple countries, for several years, as well as developing foreign language skills. I graduated in August 2020.

During my studies, in 2019, I worked as an intern at the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies, also called Rondeli Foundation, where I produced a bimonthly news digest that included selection, translation and summarization of news about Abkhazia and South Ossetia from news sources in Spanish and Portuguese, and wrote a piece to be published at the Foundation's website. In 2018, along with MA colleagues, I was a founding member, webmaster and contributor to Lossi 36, an International News website, created to channel our collective interest in the regions we studied and pass it forward.

Studying English, Spanish and French for many years, since my time in Brazil, my home country, I have accumulated practice and experience with languages, that only grew with the Russian, Georgian and French courses I took during the master program, as well as with their practical use in my daily life abroad. Right now, I intend to use this linguistic knowledge by joining the translation business, developing my skills in this field and contributing to make all kinds of content universally available.
