My name is Ana, I'm 23 years old.
Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, I taught myself English from a very young age through music, movies, TV shows and books. By the time I was 16, I was helping my English teacher in class and assisting my classmates - to this day, whenever my friends have an English test they come to me for help, as I really enjoy both teaching and learning along with them.
At the age of 18 I got my first job as a translator in a marketing company - although at first it was a standard office-managing job, soon my boss learned that my English skills were better than anyone else's in the company, and he started assigning me all the tasks related to translation and writing of reports and articles, as well as comunicating with foreign clients.
When I turned 21, having worked for that company for 3 years, I decided to quit my job and go out into the world. I got rid of all my stuff and went backpacking through Argentina, Peru and Bolivia. During those 7 months, not only was I able to connect with other travellers who did not speak Spanish (most of which ended up becoming my friends), but I could also work as a receptionist, waitress and even a bartender in hostels, restaurants and bars attended by people from all over the world.
