My name is Amanda and I'm 18 years old. I just finished high school and before I head to college, I'm taking a gap year. This year, I want to develop new skills and work on my current ones, and I think translating is a mix of both. I'm fluent in Portuguese and English and I also have an advanced level of Spanish.
I was born in Brazil in 1999 and moved to Ireland in 2013. I'm also half-Cuban, so I grew up listening to a lot of Spanish.
Since the age of 10, I have read more than 300 books, both in English and in Portuguese. I have always been an avid reader and strongly keen to learn new languages. Although I have no previous professional experience, I believe my personal experience will fit everyone's needs and even surpass them, as I deal with Portuguese, English and Spanish speakers on a day-to-day basis, from family members to strangers.
I hope I can help and both parties can learn something new. I seek to translate in a more casual fashion (if appropriate), so any text can sound as natural and effortless as possible. I believe I can easily do that because of my experience reading, watching and listening so much to other languages.
