Wrestling Thugs of Killimore High School by Joe Rasselor

Great wrestling story!

Wrestling thugs of killimore high school

Dear Wrestler,

Do you like reading great wrestling fiction, using real wrestling moves, yet are tired of having to wade through a bunch of drama to get to the match?!  If so, this book is for you.  It is a comedy which the only thing serious is the wrestling itself.

Also if you are new to the sport, have no worries.  At the end of the book there is an explanation of the wrestling point system and a wrestling move description list.

Read, wrestle, and enjoy.

Always shoot with your head up,

Joe Rasselor

About this book:

Our hero, Apostle Watson challenges the returning state champion, Sherlock Ies, for the 177 weight class.  This turns all of Killimore High School on its head.  The result is Apostle having one crazy day leading up to the wrestle off (challenge match).  Let every wrestler and non-wrestler read at their own risk.

This is an extend version.  The original was written for Loudoun County Public Library’s Write On! Short Story Contest.

Round 1: The Announcement

My name is Sir Apostle Watson.  How I became a knighted American living in London is another story.  This is a memoir of a well-remembered day of both my best times and my worst times.  These were the days of wrestling for Killimore High School, home of the Meat Grinders.

“Hello Meat Grinder students and staff.  All week we will be playing alumni Sir Mix-A-Knot’s raps between classes as we celebrate his dedication to rope tying.  This Friday please join us in room seven-eleven, as we have a good time, with beloved student, Drakey Ape for going 100 days of parole without failing a drug test.  Also today, there will be a last minute wrestle off for the 177 weight class between Sherlock Ies and “Doc” Watson.”

Yes in those days I was referred to as “Doc.”  Since the 7th grade through high school, I was granted this title by my peers, which later stuck with the teachers as well.  The assignment was to state your name and where you want to be in 20 years.  It was a normal first day assignment.   I simply stated my dream of getting a doctorate in “Bowling Industry Management and Technology” from Vincennes University.  I had to drop this dream when I found out the degree was only as an A.S., yet the name still stuck.
