Sample text:

My knees throbbed as I knelt on the cold tile of my bathroom floor. I should have folded up the bathroom mat or even grabbed a pillow for cushioning. But the discomfort in my knees didn’t compare to the shock of losing my engagement ring. After taking a shower, I detangled my long hair with a wide-toothed comb, zipped my mouth with an electric toothbrush, and then all of a sudden my engagement ring slipped off the edge of the sink and was now somewhere deep in the drain’s belly.

I sat down in front of my computer, did a quick search, and then printed out step-by-step instructions from www.DoItYourself.com. The instructions were clear and concise. Surely, I could retrieve a ring.

My cat, Bob peered at me from the hallway and then turned and left me alone. I wasn’t going to receive any emotional support from him. He had never liked my fiancé Steven Moore and probably wished the ring would permanently disappear.
