Somebody save me: radical christian poetry

Poetry is not an irrelevant fad of antiquity but a powerful tool of the past, present and future. Whether one is talking about the Psalms of King David, hymns of Charles Wesley, poems of William Cowper, prose of John Greenleaf Whittier or rhymes of Bob Young, poetry has been used by the great God almighty throughout the ages to rebuke, awaken, inspire and bless His people.

Somebody Save Me: Radical Christian Poetry is yet another collection of poetry the Lord may use to awaken His sleeping church and reach the lost masses!

Somebody Save Me features sincere poems from a mother's heart as well as evangelistic poems from a radical Christian, and deals with issues such as:

◊ Motherhood, modesty, homeschooling and parenting
◊ Evangelizing the lost no matter the cost
◊ Depression, suicide and mental health issues
◊ Evolution and abortion

Somebody Save Me:  Radical Christian Poetry was written to enlighten and not merely entertain, to challenge and not merely cajole, to rebuke and not merely rehearse, and to inspire and not merely amuse. Read this book, obey the Lord and change the world!

A SEED

Deep inside a seed does grow
Inside that seed a living soul
You decide what his fate is
To be a child or die within

The baby grows, his hands, his toes
Hair and ears and button nose
Still you say that it's your choice
To choose yourself or his small voice

“Mommy please do not kill me
I love you lots, just wait and see;
I'll be good, don't let me die
I'll be good and that's no lie”

But no, your ears are deaf to hear
The gentle voice that echoes near
The day has come, your choice is made
The babe shall in a trash bin lay

His smiles gone, no tiny toes
No more his tiny hands to hold
Just one small body, lifeless lies
No one will hear this child's cries

So there you stand
A cold blooded killer
You've murdered your child
Whose life was pure

Someday you'll pay for what you've done
You'll stand before the holy One
Who gave His life so you'd repent
And with Him is your sweet infant

Repent thou sinful murderess
Confess the sin you did commit
To Jesus Christ your salvation
Through Christ alone you'll be forgiven

But if you choose to just forget
And continue on without a fret
Never once to truly repent
For in your heart is no regret

Then you will surely forever be
Lost in the fires of eternity
Tormented by your child's face
Never to know God's saving grace
