I always loved a good potatoes casserole. And the good news is that now you can easily prepare one using your slow cooker. Also using of course, as we suggest all along only 5 ingredients. Note that I have replaced the cream cheese with sour cream before and it gave also an interesting taste and texture to the casserole. You could also very well choose to use ½ cream cheese and ½ sour cream.
Servings: 8-10
Preparation time: 4 hours
Ingredients:
• 8 red potatoes, sliced
• 2 package cream cheeses (room temperature)
• 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
• 2 minced cloves garlic
• 1 Tbsp. smoke paprika
Method:
It is advised to drop a little olive oil in the bottom of the slow cooker.
Layer the equivalent of about the third of the potatoes.
In a small bowl, mix the cream cheese with the garlic and paprika. Spread half of it on top of the first layer of potatoes.
Add a second layer of potatoes, and a second layer of cream cheese. Repeat one more time.
Cook on low temperature for about 3 hours. Uncover and add the Swiss cheese on top.
Cover again and cook for additional 30 minutes to 45 minutes or until the top layer of cheese is completed melted.
