Mindfulness: how to live in the present moment and mindfulness to stress free

(45b)

This is the reason why young monks, students and seekers of enlightenment were supposed to do odd jobs for years before they were taught anything! I tried meditation for 18 years and yet, i could learn its essence only when I was not able to meditate at all. I am very thankful to my little daughter, who made it impossible for me to go into my escape world of so-called meditation.

If are like most people then you probably wake up thinking about all the things you have to do during the day and you go to bed reviewing everything you did do and everything you failed to do. And just like you, there are so many others out there who are too busy dwelling on the past and worrying about the future, to realize they are living in a moment.

Are you sick and tired of having to deal with the emotional roller coaster of emotions that fill your life?  Have you heard of the positive effects of meditation, but didn’t know where to start?  There are so many purported experts out there, but even if you have tried to read their work, you found yourself more confused as ever.

If you are ready to take action and change your life for the better, this book will definitely guide you in the right direction!

Effective Treatment of Depression: One of the most common uses of mindfulness is to use it to treat disorders such as depression and anxiety (which we will get to next).

Mindfulness is not only a great treatment of the disorder but it is also an amazing preventative measure.

Part of depression is negative thought patterns being repeated over and over again in a person’s head. Mindfulness teaches you to become aware of those thoughts as just thoughts and to observe them without criticism of the thoughts or of yourself.

Obviously, it is not as simple as that, and it requires regular practice in order to be an effective treatment, but the benefits that mindfulness can have for people suffering from mindfulness is truly incredible. Not to mention that it has approximately zero negative side effects unlike traditional medication treatments for the disorder.

Anxiety Disorders: Another common use of mindfulness is as a treatment for those suffering from various forms of anxiety disorders.

Through practices such as the mindful observing and naming of emotions that flow through a person when they are having an anxiety attack, the anxiety relating to that particular stimulus can slowly be reduced until it is no longer a problem for the person.
