Mindfulness: how to find your authentic to mindfulness yoga

(46b)

In this book, mindfulness meditation will be thoroughly discussed. We'll address the fact that there are a handful of reasons why you should appreciate the benefits of mindfulness. While others want a defense against the overload of trivial matters, some aim to be mindful for a sense of inner peace. Some just wish to relax and take a break from most of their worries. With all the people you talk to, the obligations that need attention, and all the other demands of everyday life, the knowledge on mindfulness can be beneficial.

The purpose of this book is to motivate and inspire you, to help you on your path to a mindful life, to help you make a positive change by providing simple steps, a new perspective, and help for the development of new positive beliefs and actions. Its purpose is to help you find your authenticity and your best self.

Have you ever thought that life is passing you by really fast? Do want to take things slowly so that you can appreciate what you have in life? Unfortunately, we are hardwired to constantly do everything fast in our society. However, this attitude is making us suffer and it is the reason why we are at risk to suffering from different physical maladies as well as emotional distress like anxiety and depression.

Sample text:

In this chapter, I will reveal three methods of being mindful that you can begin to use and benefit from immediately.

Now, there may be many different forms of mindfulness meditation out there, but I believe that they all center around one main action: focusing on individual breaths. However, there are two other forms which bear mentioning as they are fairly significant in the mindfulness world and are also easy to perform.

Before beginning any meditation or mindfulness exercise, it is important to be relaxed. However, you should not be so relaxed that you could drift off to sleep. This is why I recommend that you only practice these exercises for up to five minutes each time –  at least when you are outside of your home – when you first begin using mindfulness meditations. In fact, mindfulness seems to be more effective if you do it, say in six five minutes sessions spread out over the day rather than one thirty-minute session.

However, the more you do these exercises, you will begin to find that you are more present in other everyday activities and being mindful will simply become part of who you are as a person: grounded and centered in the present.
