These easy-to-follow meditations will help the reader to cope with the pain of loss, and embark on a healing journey. Each chapter focuses on a different aspect of grief, and the guided meditations will calm the mind and increase clarity and focus. Mindfulness and Grief will help readers to begin the process of reconstructing the shattered self that is left in the wake of any major loss.

If you have anxiety or suffer from panic attacks, little things like driving, being at a party where you don’t know anyone, or even going to the grocery store can seem overwhelming. But these little things are a part of everyday life, and if you try to avoid them, you may end up feeling alienated, lonely, and unfulfilled. Furthermore, simply avoiding anxiety-causing situations will not help you to conquer your anxiety.
Mindfulness is the easy way to gently let go of stress and be in the moment. It has fast become the slow way to manage the modern world - without chanting mantras or setting aside hours of time for meditation.

Sample text:

Mindfulness is actually an ancient Buddhist meditation Vipassana, simplified. The word mindfulness is the translation of Pali word ‘Sati’. To make this meditation more accessible for the non-Buddhists and common audiences, the pioneers of Mindfulness stripped off its religious aspects and made it simple and comprehensible for everyone. Back in 70’s, Jon Kabrat-Zinn, a professor of medicine at the University of Massachusetts medical school, started a campaign to popularize his own version of ‘Vipassana,’ which he termed as ‘mindfulness’, as an effective approach for dealing with stress, anxiety, depression and few other mental ailments. Inspired by a Zen missionary, Philip Kapleau, he extensively studied Buddhist philosophy, educated himself at ‘Insight Meditation Society’, and eventually taught there. His mindfulness movement quickly gained popularity among the psychotherapists, doctors, and communities interested in holistic approach to treat and cure various physical and mental disorders.
