This exercise is just a taste of what mindfulness is all about. I’d like to note that you don’t need to consciously think in this manner each and every time you do these things. Once you set your intention to be mindful, your body will follow, and you will begin to notice these things all by yourself.

In this book, you will learn

.what mindfulness is all about
.learn the difference between mindfulness and meditation
.learn how to meditate for mindful awareness
.mindful practices can benefit you mentally, physically, and socially
.distinctions between traditional Eastern approaches and modern Western approaches
.practical everyday tips to train yourself in mindfulness
and many more...

Before jumping into dissecting how mindfulness can help you, it is important to take a step back and actually understand what mindfulness is. I mean, you’ve probably heard of it a lot, but do you actually know what it is? If you don’t know what it is, how can you expect to know you’ve attained it?

Sample text:

I know exactly how you feel.  I was once very stressed out and anxious about the lives of my family and myself.  It is a horrible prison to be in day and night.  Then, enter stage right, Mindfulness.  At first, it was somewhat comical to me.  I wondered if I was doing it right.  Thoughts would enter my mind every second.  But then, over time, things started changing for me.  I noticed less and less stress and anxiety in my life.  My Mindfulness meditations became more relaxing, and then one day I woke up to realize that I was finally in control of not only my life; but of my thoughts and me.  It is a liberating feeling.
