Sample text:

I stand up to turn the light switch on and as soon as I do, the light blows out. I cover my head to protect myself from the falling pieces of glass. I go toward Jonathan again. I can feel my heart pounding against my chest. A loud scratching noise makes me jump again, quickly pointing the flashlight toward the back of the garage. I scream at the sight of a doll staring right at me. Its brown eyes are wide open and blood drips from its mouth. I scream and scream, but I can’t make myself move. It is as if I forgot how to do so. Jonathan moves enough to where he can kick the doll to the other side of the garage. “Open the door!” he yells. I flinch at the sound of this voice. I’m panicking, but I manage to get up. I frantically open the door and he drags himself out of the garage. I close the door behind us and lock it.
