So how does it do that? Let me explain that:

Given that the diet is low in carbohydrates (the body’s primary sources of energy under normal high carb diets), this means that the body has to look for an alternative source of energy to drive it various processes in a day. If the carbohydrates supplies (glucose from the bloodstream and glycogen from glycogen reserves in the liver and muscle cells) are inadequate, the body has to seek alternative sources of fuel for various processes.
