With the rebranded diets and fasting methods, however, they all fall into one of three basic fasting types. These are Caloric Restriction (CR), Alternate Day Fasting (ADF) and Dietary Restriction (DR).

Dry Fasting

Dry fasting is obviously a caloric restrictive diet and goes back to the ancient religious times and consists of foregoing both food and water for a short period of time.
