Initially, tidying up and organizing your home can feel like an overwhelming and tedious thought.  After all, there are so many different rooms and areas that all need your attention.  Don’t be overwhelmed.  The initial process of tidying up your home can be time-consuming and tiring. Don’t let that deter you from achieving your goal of a clean, organized home.

Personally, I don’t like people judging my home.  It’s my home and they don’t have to live in it.  However, I do not want them to perceive me as being a lazy and uncaring housekeeper.  When I clean and organize my home, I do it for the benefit of myself and my family.  It feels wonderful to hear someone compliment me on the condition of my home.

After tidying up my home for the first time and keeping it that way, I found that I loved having a home that was clean and uncluttered.  It made it feel more open and relaxing.  It took some time and effort to get my family on the same page, but now we have a routine that works and makes the house run like clockwork.

You, too, can have this feeling of being tidy.  After giving it a try, I’m sure you will love having a tidy and organized home as much as I do.  The great part of it all is that every person in my home has a part to play in making sure that the house stays clean and organized.  There are still times when I can walk in to stuffed animals on the floor or a science project spread on the dining room table, but they get cleaned up relatively fast.

I encourage you to take the time to get your house in order and cleaned.  Once you get it thoroughly done once, keep up with it.  Make chore lists for the people who live there.  The point is, once you have your home in the condition that you want it to be in, keeping it tidy is easy.
