"But dressing up for your convention is why I asked you to stop by!" Nana set her cup back down on one of the coasters dotting the coffee table. "You said you'd looked everywhere for a Batgirl costume and there were none available--"

"Right. I should have reserved something weeks ago, but it's okay. I don't have to be Batgirl." Rosalie had chosen the red curls on purpose to match Commissioner Gordon's daughter Barbara's -- aka Batgirl's, but she could always think of something else to do for a costume.

"No, no." Nana insisted. "Selena told me she has just the thing. I was telling her how well you were doing, writing your own graphic novel after all those years coloring your friend's comic, and how you were looking forward to your convention--"

"Comix Con."

"That's right." Selena nodded. "I love making costumes. I have one that should be just your size." She leaned aside to bring up a large carpetbag from behind her chair. "Why don't you try it on?"

"Wow." Rosalie couldn't think what to say. "I don't know what to say." She wiped a trace of jam from her fingers onto a napkin. And what could she say if the costume turned out to look a little too homemade and cheap imitation?

"Here." Selena held out the bag. "Try it on! If it doesn't fit, I can make a few adjustments.

In the end, Rosalie had to admit Selena brought the right stuff. This Batgirl costume could have come from a movie set. No need for adjustments. It fit perfectly to her somewhat longer than average legs and shorter than average waist. The dark fabric clung to her limbs while allowing her to move freely. The tight bodice matched her cup size. The hooded mask fit over her new curls and framed her eyes just right to allow her to see her surroundings unimpeded.
