Grådighedens pris (The Price of Greed) by Michael Clasen

A crime story focusing on the Deadly Sin: Greed. The MRSA-threat under debate.

Grådighedens pris (the price of greed)

The Danish "Navy Seal Soldier" Daniel Dreyer is on board a ship heading for the African country of Benin. He and his men are guarding laboratory equipment for scientific research far away from European regulations. The ship is attacked by pirates and Daniel gets wounded. His superiors do not like his frankness and he is discharged from service. Daniel returns to his childhood city of Haubjerg, where he mets his old friend Poul - a police officer - and his new girlfriend Anita, who is  a journalist. Besides he decides to become a private investigator.

A group of yong animal rights activists perform several actions in Haubjerg and the great landowner of Tranedal Gods - Knud E - asks Daniel to protect him and his farms. Daniel agrees not knowing that it was Knud E that was the brain behind the obscure African expedition.

The conflicts get hard and at last Daniel abandons Knud E. Nevertheless the two of them are in the frontline of the surprising end to the novel.

GITTA

TORSDAG 5. OKTOBER

Knud Emmanuel Tranedal græd for første gang i rigtig mange år.
