Friends failing forever

Friends Failing Forever is a story of how Gina, the never-ending party-seeker, constantly needs a caretaker—or babysitter for herself and her young daughter--and how her BBF, Cassie, decides she can’t be that person anymore, and leaves Gina out to dry—dry up, hopefully.  Periodically, Gina tries to better herself--like getting a job from which she later gets fired, as she gets angry at a child.  Cassie, in contrast to Gina’s hooker-look, is attractive, stylish, well-educated, and employed, and prefers to keep it that way rather than party with Gina.  Cassie falls for Gina’s brother, Carl, and after sharing stories of Gina’s lies, he encourages Cassie to leave Gina to fend for herself, which ultimately leads to Gina’s tragic death.

This Justice Gray story of confused priorities, unfolds with suspense and intertwined webs of romance, lies, alcohol abuse, sex, lies of abuse, and as a plethora of strange events climax, the story conveys deep emotions, and vivid  images.

Unhappily, Cassie, had to agree that Carl had a point.  “You could be right.  After all, Gina always made a big deal about how we were best friends and she said she told me everything, but when she filed for divorce, that was the first I heard of any abuse.  It’s hard to believe her when there was no indication that anything was wrong before then.  At the same time, there’s got to be a reason why she’s hitting the bottle so hard.  Maybe that’s why.  Maybe…”

But whatever Cassie thought, Carl would never know because they were interrupted by an ear piercing shriek.

“Speak of the devil,” moaned Carl as Gina bulldozed her way toward them.

“Cassie!  Oh my God!  When you said you had a date, I had no idea you were going out with my brother!  Why didn’t you tell me?  We could have doubled up!”  Gina shoved Cassie along with her backside as Brad came up behind her to sit next to Carl.

“Well, you know how it is…”

“No, I really don’t.  You know everything about my life,” chided Gina.  “I thought you told me everything, too.  Now I’m wondering what else I don’t know about you.”  She gave Cassie a pointed look.

“There really isn’t anything, Gina.  I just wanted to see how tonight went before I told you what was going on.  I was going to call you tomorrow to let you know how things had gone.  Carl and I might not have gotten it on, and then I would have told you about tonight and you could have told me how you could have warned me that he was a total disaster as a boyfriend.  It’s not that big of a deal.”
