Sample text:

“Run!” he shouted through the rolled down window of the old Buick. The motor was revving and he was ready to slam the gear into drive. “Get in!”

Mandy hurried into the backseat, shutting and locking the door behind her. “Go! Go, go, go!” she shouted, panicked, and rightfully so.

As he punched the gas, Davy could see them approaching through the reflection of the rearview mirror. They were fast – a lot faster than he’d thought they could be.

“Shouldn’t they have rigor mortis or something?” he commented as he sped down the road.

“Rigor mortis goes away after a while,” he heard Tandy, Mandy’s twin sister, reply from the backseat.

“A big help that is,” added Brandon from beside him.

“I still don’t know how this all could really be happening!” Mandy yelled, albeit hysterically, through her tears. “We were at a party! How can any of this be real?”

“That’s the last time we party at Bethany’s,” Brandon grunted.

“Bethany took the hell off with Tommy just as we were getting back. She sped off in her mom’s car a minute after we parked. We should have known something was wrong,” Davy said, turning the car down the winding country road. It had been snowing for a while, and the road was slick and dangerous.

“Be careful, man!” Brandon shouted as the car skidded a bit. “You’re gonna get us all killed!”
