Buddhism: the complete guide to incorporate buddhism into your life for beginners

(12b)

A lifetime student of Buddhist philosophy and meditation, reveals in simple language how Buddhism can yield personal growth in the modern world. Because every journey is unique, Mercree relates his own story, as well as the experiences of famous Buddhists throughout history, to help you apply Buddha's principles to your personal path.

Buddhism is a religion of the mind. Much in the same way that water ripples fade, so too does Buddhism see the nature of the mind. In Buddhist philosophy, the four noble truths are the descriptions of reality revealed by the Buddha. Dissatisfaction. The cause of dissatisfaction. The end of dissatisfaction. And how to get there

Only when he finds out, by yourself, that there is, nothing that he does that is free of defilement and suffering and that there is a way out of it all, that he may become sufficiently well-motivated to gain that freedom, and meditation is the way to neutralize the source of all the trouble, the misconception of self and other.

Sample text:

Siddhartha always wondered what life outside the palace was like. He never had any reason to leave because the king spoiled him with material things and everything else he could want. Siddhartha even married a beautiful woman by the name of Yasodhara on his 16th birthday and stayed with her in the palace for the next 13 years. It was when he was 29-years-old that he finally wanted to see what life was like in the outside world. When he journeyed away from the palace, he ended up meeting four men on his journey. He met an old man, a sick man, and a dead man. It was at this point that he realized there was a lot of suffering out in the world and that other people’s lives were not as lavish and luxurious as the one he had been living. This made him feel bad, so he then went on wondering what he could do to help fix this problem. One day he found his answer when he met a monk who happened to be wandering by. The monk told Siddhartha that he gave up all his possessions in order to go on a journey to end the suffering in the world. This intrigued him, and so he decided to follow this very same path in his own life.
