Quinoa Breakfast

Serves: 4

Maple syrup, 3 tbsp

2-inch cinnamon stick

Water, 2 c.

Quinoa, 1 c.

Optional Toppings:

Yogurt

Chopped cashew, 2 tbsp

Whipped coconut cream, 3 tbsp

Lime juice, 1 tsp

Nutmeg, .25 tsp

Raisins, 2 tbsp

Strawberries, .5 c.

Raspberries, .5 c.

Blueberries, .5 c.

Put the quinoa into a strainer and rinse it under cold running water. Make sure there aren’t any stones or anything in them.
Pour water into a saucepan. Add the quinoa and place saucepan on medium heat. Bring to a boil.
Add in the cinnamon stick, place a cover on the saucepan, lower hot temperature, also, boil gently quarter-hour till water has been ingested.
Take off hot temperature and fluff with a fork. Add maple syrup and any of the toppings listed above.
