I walked through the double doors and was overwhelmed by the sounds. Mostly from the people, “ooh-ing” and “aah-ing.” I decided to move counterclockwise through the booths of animals, make notes on my hand-held computer, and then revisit the ones I liked best.
Well, in theory, that was a great plan, except the first booth wasn’t full of animals, it was a really cute guy advertising a veterinary clinic. It was a good thing I wasn’t shopping for a boyfriend because I would have adopted him on the spot. He had close-cut dark hair, blue eyes beneath slashing dark brows, high cheekbones, and beautifully shaped sensual mouth. How old? The late twenties? Maybe early thirties? He was dressed in dark jeans and a tight sweatshirt that revealed a lean muscular body.
“Hi,” was all I could muster. His broad smile was captivating, and my girl parts did a swirl, flip, and tingle in all the right spots. Merry Christmas to me.
